Steampunk is a colourful re-imagining of the Victorian age, where history collides with science fiction, and creativity bursts into life. Expect flamboyant costumes, curious contraptions, airships and adventure — all wrapped up in music, performance, and spectacle. The IoW Steampunk Festival is vibrant, welcoming, and fun for all ages, whether you dress up and join in, or simply come along to enjoy the show.

For one extraordinary weekend, Ryde will be transformed into a vibrant world of goggles, gears, corsets, and top hats, with streets alive with music, performance, and a true spirit of adventure.
The Isle of Wight Steampunk festival is a magical gathering where seasoned steampunkers and curious newcomers alike came together to celebrate this unique blend of past and future.
Last year's festival was a spectacular celebration of creativity, history, and imagination, drawing over 6,000 visitors into the heart of Victorian Ryde.

From elegant explorers and airship captains to inventors, rogues and clockwork creations, costume is at the very heart of the weekend. Come dressed to impress, express yourself, or simply admire the remarkable imagination on display around every corner.

There’s far more to discover than costumes and music alone. Tea duelling, teapot racing, workshops, traders, performances and unexpected encounters await throughout the weekend—each adding another layer to the adventure.
